4. 4)Heel edge foot skis provide an instant brake for any beginner, intermediate or advanced rider, simply by digging in the heel edge of the foot ski while seated on the Chanterellyn II ski bike.
   

This brake is so effective that any person with the strength to walk can stop the Chanterellyn II ski bike on beginner runs, and any reasonably fit person can stop the Chanterellyn II ski bike on intermediate runs, directly in the fall line. 

Our foot skis are made with a specially designed heel piece which is screwed to the end of a ski tip cut from a downhill ski (which is cut to a length of about 19 inches)  The heel piece which provides your braking power is a 2.5 inch straight edge in the center, which, with a side cut on either side of this 2.5 inch edge, provides a sharp point along the edge for extra stopping power on hard pack and ice.  This side cut also allows for optional placement of two ice screws on the ends of the edge component itself for extreme stopping power on icy snow surfaces.
